Azerbaijani leader’s remarks on Armenia’s constitution reflect real conditions for peace - Georgian expert
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's remarks about changes to the Armenian constitution are a significant condition for peace, Gela Vasadze, producer and presenter at the News of Caucasus channel, stated at the Second Shusha Global Media Forum.
According to Caliber.Az, which cites local media, Vasadze emphasized that any comprehensive peace agreement must exclude territorial claims from either side.
Vasadze highlighted that rebuilding mutual trust between the peoples following a peace agreement is an immensely challenging task.
“Dialogue at the expert level is feasible, but ordinary people also need to be engaged. When I speak with them, I see that they struggle to forget past grievances. They often ask, ‘Why should I forget?’ Likely, this pain will only lessen over generations, affecting the grandchildren and great-grandchildren of those directly involved,” Vasadze added.
