Azerbaijani MFA calls on citizens to refrain from traveling to Iran
Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has called on citizens to refrain from unnecessary travel to Iran and to be extremely careful when visiting the country.
According to Caliber.Az, citing the website of the Foreign Ministry, the statement was made taking into account the terrorist act committed in January this year against the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Iran, which resulted in restrictions on the work of the Azerbaijani diplomatic mission.
"Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan who are currently in Iran should observe safety measures," the Foreign Ministry said.
Besides, the statement noted that Azerbaijani citizens in Iran should contact Azerbaijan’s Consulate General in Tabriz for consular and other appeals:
