Azerbaijani MFA condemns Armenian radicals' attack on conference participants in Los Angeles
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has condemned Armenian radicals' attack on conference participants in Los Angeles.
“We strongly condemn the attack of Armenian radical groups on the participants of the conference "The role of public diplomacy in Türkiye's foreign policy" held on September 29 at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles,” the ministry said in a statement, according to Caliber.Az.
“The fact that such actions taken against our country, our compatriots, as well as against brotherly Türkiye and its citizens, actions that are the embodiment of the Armenian policy of ethnic hatred and intolerance, are becoming intense and systematic, poses a serious threat.
Such aggressive attacks by radical representatives of the Armenian diaspora, who were unable to come to terms with the failure of Armenia’s smear campaign against Azerbaijan, as well as the fall of the separatist regime, are criminal acts, and the perpetrators must be adequately punished.
The behaviour of radical Armenian groups, which contains elements of racial discrimination, incitement to hatred and violence, must be harshly condemned by the international community, and the relevant government authorities must take measures to suppress such actions,” the ministry said.
On September 29, members of the radical Armenian diaspora stormed the conference "The role of public diplomacy in Türkiye's foreign policy" held in Southern California in Los Angeles, California, USA, and made hate speeches and used insulting expressions. Azerbaijani and Turkish high-ranking diplomats took part in the event.
