As part of the comprehensive training plan outlined for the 2023-2024 academic year at the Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev, practical sessions have been conducted with cadets from the Naval Forces faculty.
These sessions aimed to bolster the practical skills and theoretical understanding of the cadets in various aspects of naval operations, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Defence Ministry.
Conducted at the main command post, the practical exercises covered a range of crucial tasks essential for naval operations. Cadets engaged in organizing control mechanisms, preparing warships for navigation and battle, and executing technical and visual surveillance using radar stations while underway. Additionally, they were trained in signal communications through semaphore flags, vital for effective communication during maritime operations.
Venturing into the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, cadets received hands-on instruction regarding safety protocols concerning the management and operation of engines within a vessel's engine compartment. These instructions are paramount for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of naval vessels, especially in challenging maritime environments.
The overarching goal of these practical classes is to augment the cadets' theoretical knowledge with real-world experience, thereby enhancing their proficiency and readiness for future naval service. By engaging in practical exercises tailored to real-world scenarios, cadets gain invaluable insights and skills essential for their roles within the Navy.
