Azerbaijani mine agency using rats in mine clearance process

Chairman of the Board of the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) Vugar Suleymanov has said that rats used in the mine clearance process are already in the territories.

“Rats are searching for mines in Agdam District. If we compare rats to mine-detecting dogs, rats have advantages. They spend less time searching for mines than dogs, and this work is effective,” Suleymanov told reporters, APA reports.
