Azerbaijani national flag flying in New York’s sky on occasion of Independence Restoration Day

The state flag of Azerbaijan was raised in the US city of New York on the occasion of October 18 - the Restoration of Independence Day.

In this regard, a flag-raising ceremony organized by the Azerbaijan-New York Association took place in Bowling Green park, located on Wall Street and known as the giant flag square, Trend reports, citing the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora.

The event was attended by a group of our compatriots living in New York.

The head of the Azerbaijan-New York Association Erjan Yerdelenli raised the flag of Azerbaijan to the sound of our national anthem.

The flag-raising ceremony also attracted the attention of local residents and tourists, our compatriots informed them about Azerbaijan.

The flag of Azerbaijan will be waving in the centre of New York next to the US flag for 10 days.
