Azerbaijani Navy commander meets with Italian counterpart

Commander of Azerbaijan’s Navy, Rear Admiral Subhan Bakirov, who is participating in the 13th Trans-Regional Seapower Symposium in Venice, Italy, has met with the Chief of the Italian Navy, Admiral Enrico Credendino.

Having conveyed the greetings of Azerbaijan’s Defence Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, Rear Admiral Bakirov expressed gratitude to his Italian counterpart for the invitation to the international symposium, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry’s press service.

During the meeting, the parties shared views on the prospects for the development of cooperation between the two countries’ naval forces in the military, military-educational, and other spheres were held, as well as several issues of mutual interest were discussed.
