Azerbaijani officials vote in snap parliament elections UPDATED

Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev has exercised his right to vote in the snap parliamentary elections.

He voted at polling station No. 3 of Nasimi-Binagadi electoral district No. 21, located in kindergarten No. 132, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

Snap parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are held at 6,478 polling stations, including 54 polling stations in the territories liberated from occupation. Voting started at 08:00 and will end at 19:00.

A total of 990 candidates are vying for 125 parliamentary mandates. The total number of voters in Azerbaijan is 6,421,960 people.

 

Head of Baku Executive Power Eldar Azizov also voted in the parliamentary elections, Caliber.Az reports.

Azizov exercised his right to vote at the 6th polling station of the 7th Sabail constituency.

Then the vote in еру snap parliamentary elections came from Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, who cast his ballot at polling station No. 4 of Sabail constituency No. 7 in the capital Baku.

Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Samir Nuriyev, voted at polling station No. 34 of the Yasamal second electoral district No. 16.

A high voter turnout was also observed at this polling station, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

For the first time, elections to the Milli Majlis are being held in all sovereign territories of Azerbaijan. Early elections are being held at 6,478 polling stations. In the current elections, 990 candidates are running for 125 seats. The number of citizens included in the voter lists is 6,421,960 people.

As many as 54 polling stations have been created in the territories liberated from occupation.

The election process is being monitored by 598 international observers. The number of local observers is 112,749 people. The voting will end at 19:00.

 

The next ballot in the snap parliamentary elections was cast by Economy Minister Mikayil.

The minister exercised his right to vote at polling station No. 6 of Sabail constituency No. 7.
