Azerbaijani, Omani FMs exchange views on regional security situation
The foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Oman held a telephone conversation to discuss growing tensions in the Middle East amid ongoing military escalation.
Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov spoke with Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Al Busaidi, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry told domestic media.
During the call, the two diplomats exchanged assessments of the worsening security situation in the region, focusing on the recent military escalation and the increasing level of tension. Both sides voiced deep concern over developments, warning that any further deterioration could pose a serious threat to regional security and stability.
The ministers underscored the urgent need for de-escalation and highlighted the importance of strengthening diplomatic efforts aimed at restoring negotiations and reducing tensions.
They also placed particular emphasis on the necessity of protecting civilian populations as well as critical infrastructure facilities.
In addition to the Middle East situation, the sides exchanged views on a range of other regional and international issues of mutual interest.
