Azerbaijani ombudsman appeals to international community due to mass grave in Khojavend
Azerbaijani Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva has appealed to the international community in connection with another mass grave revealed in the Khojavend district.
The remains of 12 people were found buried with their hands and feet tied, Report informs citing the Ombudsman’s Office.
Probably, the discovered remains belong to our compatriots who went missing during the first Karabakh war and whose fate is still unknown.
Despite the repeated appeals, the Armenian side refuses to provide information about the fate of these people, as well as about the places of mass graves of Azerbaijanis to hide the war crimes it committed from the international community.
The international community must adequately respond to these war crimes, and those responsible for them must be held accountable to prevent the recurrence of such criminal acts by Armenia.
Another mass grave of Azerbaijanis in Edilli village was revealed in February 2022.
