Azerbaijani, Pakistani generals elaborate military cooperation at IDEAS 2024 exhibition in Karachi
First Deputy Minister of Defence of Azerbaijan, Col. Gen. Karim Valiyev, who is on a working visit to Pakistan to participate in the 12th International Defence Exhibition and Seminar IDEAS-2024, has met with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of this country, Gen. Sahir Shamshad Mirza.

The military officials stressed that the strategic partnership between the two countries is developing on an upward path.
Valiyev and Mirza noted the importance of such meetings for further strengthening of relations and shared views on several other issues of interest.
The 12th International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS 2024) officially opened at the Karachi Expo Centre in Kazakhstan's Karachi City on November 19 and will rung until November 22. The event was inaugurated by Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Pakistan's Federal Minister for Defence and Defence Production.
A key event in the regional calendar, IDEAS 2024 is organized every two years by Pakistan's Defence Export Promotion Organisation (DEPO). According to DEPO, the exhibition has attracted over 350 high-level delegations from 55 countries, along with numerous trade visitors.
Since its launch in 2000, IDEAS has become a prominent international platform for defence manufacturers, entrepreneurs, research and development specialists, financial experts, and policymakers. The event facilitates collaboration, knowledge sharing, and new business opportunities in the defence sector, serving as a hub for the global defence community to explore potential partnerships and joint ventures.
