Azerbaijani parliament approves military cooperation agreement with Morocco
The Azerbaijani Parliament has approved the agreement on military cooperation with Morocco.
During a plenary session, the parliament discussed the bill on the approval of the "Agreement on Military Cooperation in the Field of Defence between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco", Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The agreement was signed on October 30, 2024.
Moreover, Azerbaijan and Morocco abolished visa requirements for their citizens, allowing Azerbaijani nationals to travel to Morocco for stays of up to 90 days without a visa, provided their passports are valid for at least 180 days from the date of entry. Similarly, Moroccan citizens can now visit Azerbaijan visa-free.
This new arrangement, which took effect on August 28, 2024, coincides with the 32nd anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, established in 1992. It is expected to boost travel, tourism, and business exchanges, reflecting the strong commitment to enhancing the bilateral ties between Azerbaijan and Morocco.
