Azerbaijani parliament to hold special hearing on Armenian war crimes
The Azerbaijani parliament will hold special hearings on the crimes committed by Armenia during the 44-day Second Karabakh War of 2020.
The work plan of the parliament's human rights committee for the spring session of 2023 includes a special hearing on legal mechanisms to protect the Azerbaijani citizens’ rights violated as a result of the occupation of lands by Armenian armed forces and compensating the state for damages based on relevant claims to international instances, Report informs.
The parliament will also hold events to bring the issue of 4,000 missing persons from the First Karabakh War in the early 1990s to the attention of the wider local and international public.
The events will inform about the genocide, aggression, ethnic cleansing and other international crimes committed by Armenia against Azerbaijan, including 4,000 people missing during the First Karabakh War.
