Chairs of Azerbaijani, Pakistani, Turkish parliaments begin trilateral meeting in Islamabad PHOTO / UPDATED

The Third Trilateral Meeting of the Speakers of the Parliaments of Azerbaijan, Pakistan, and Türkiye began on October 13 in Islamabad, Pakistan, starting with an Executive Session.

The session was attended by Speaker of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis (Parliament) Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of Pakistan’s National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, and Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye Numan Kurtulmuş, Caliber.Az reports, citing the press and public relations department of Azerbaijan's Parliament.

The trilateral meeting will continue today with speeches by the parliamentary speakers and discussions involving lawmakers.

An Azerbaijani parliamentary delegation led by Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova has arrived in Pakistan on a working visit.

The Azerbaijani parliament’s press service stated that Gafarova is expected to take part in the Third Trilateral Meeting of the Speakers of the parliaments of Azerbaijan, Pakistan, and Türkiye, Caliber.Az reports. 

She was welcomed at Islamabad International Airport by Speaker of Pakistan’s National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Pakistan Khazar Farhadov, and other officials.
