05 December 2025 13:40

Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov met on December 5 with participants of the inaugural meeting of ministers of labour, employment, and social protection from the member states of the Organization of Turkic-speaking States (OTS), held in Baku.

During the meeting, officials highlighted the significance of the first gathering of OTS ministers responsible for labour and social policy and expressed satisfaction with the established cooperation among member states across various sectors. Participants also voiced confidence that the organisation would continue to strengthen and expand its presence on the international stage under Azerbaijan’s current chairmanship, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Cabinet of Ministers

The discussions included an overview of Azerbaijan’s policies in labour and employment, as well as the country’s ongoing social reforms. Azerbaijani officials underscored that developing an innovation-driven economy, improving labour productivity, and enhancing social welfare are among the strategic priorities defined by the country’s leadership.

The meeting also addressed opportunities to deepen cooperation among Turkic states in the areas of labour, employment, and social protection.
