Azerbaijani president offers condolences to Russian counterpart over plane crash in Amur region

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has extended his condolences to President of Russia Vladimir Putin following the tragic crash of an An-24 passenger aircraft in Russia’s Amur region, which resulted in numerous casualties.

The official letter of condolence was published on the website of the President of Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports.

In his message President Aliyev said:

“Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich,

I am deeply saddened by the news of numerous casualties resulting from the crash of the An-24 passenger plane in the Amur region.

In light of this tragedy, I extend my deepest condolences to you, the families and loved ones of the victims, on behalf of myself and the people of Azerbaijan.”
