Azerbaijani president's aide discusses foreign policy with NATO officials in Baku PHOTO
Azerbaijani president’s aide Hikmet Hajiyev has met with the delegation of NATO Defence College in Baku to discuss foreign policy issues.
“Pleased to see NATO Defence College visiting delegation in Baku at ADA University and speak about foreign and security policy of Azerbaijan,” Caliber.Az quotes Hajiyev as saying on social network X.
It is important to note that Azerbaijan's cooperation with NATO, particularly in the realm of defense education, has been expanding through various initiatives. One of the key frameworks is the NATO Defence Education Enhancement Programme (DEEP), which aims to enhance Azerbaijan's military educational capacities. In recent developments, NATO officials visited Baku to assess progress and discuss further integration of the ADL (Advanced Distributed Learning) system into Azerbaijan's military education infrastructure
Additionally, Azerbaijan’s military institutions have seen increasing collaboration with NATO through training programs and academic exchanges. A notable example of this is the visit by Colonel General Karim Valiyev, Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, to the NATO Defense College in Rome. During his visit in September 2024, discussions focused on deepening military education ties, with Valiyev meeting NATO officials and Azerbaijani personnel involved in NATO’s programs
