Azerbaijani president to skip European Political Community summit in Armenia—top diplomat
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev is not currently scheduled to participate in next year’s European Political Community (EPC) summit in Armenia, the country's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov told a year-end press conference.
He explained that the format of the EPC conferences has changed, with invitations now being sent directly to heads of state, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
“Based on the information available to me, President Ilham Aliyev has no plans to attend this conference. More precise details, of course, can be provided by the Presidential Administration,” the minister noted.
Transitioning to bilateral relations with Armenia, FM Bayramov affirmed that he is prepared to visit Armenia should circumstances necessitate such a trip.
He highlighted his willingness to travel to Armenia for meetings or events that directly concern Azerbaijan’s national interests.
