28 November 2025 16:52

Azerbaijan’s Assistant to the President, Hikmet Hajiyev, held meetings with ambassadors from NATO member states during a visit to Brussels, as noted by the official X account of the Mission of the Republic of Azerbaijan to NATO.

The discussions also included NATO’s Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy, Boris Ruge, and representatives from countries including Türkiye, Slovakia, Germany, Canada, Denmark, Bulgaria, Latvia, Luxembourg, the United Kingdom, Romania, Lithuania, Belgium, Poland, France, Estonia, Italy, Sweden, and Finland.

The meeting highlighted the recent visit of NATO’s North Atlantic Council Ambassadors to Baku and their discussions with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

The parties engaged in an in-depth discussion on a broad array of issues, including the successful Azerbaijan–NATO partnership and future cooperation opportunities, Azerbaijan’s contributions to the Alliance—particularly in supporting Europe’s energy security—as well as regional security matters and the ongoing Azerbaijan–Armenia peace process.
