Azerbaijani presidential aide bids farewell to Turkish ambassador as he completes diplomatic tenure PHOTO
Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, has met with Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Cahit Bagci, as the latter completes his diplomatic tenure in the country.
Ambassador Bagci made a post on his social media platform X, regarding the farewell meeting, Caliber.Az reports.

In a post, Bagci expressed his gratitude for the close cooperation and friendship he had developed with Hajiyev during his tenure. He highlighted their shared visits to the liberated areas of Karabakh, where they explored every corner of the region together.
"During my diplomatic tenure, Hikmet Bey and I visited every corner of Karabakh freed from occupation. We held numerous in-depth meetings and consultations over the past four years," Bagci posted.
"I am grateful for your sincere and open approach, as well as for your valuable contributions to our joint efforts," the Turkish ambassador added.
President of the Maarif Foundation Birol Akgün will become the new Turkish ambassador to Azerbaijan.
As an ambassador, Bağcı has been actively involved in strengthening the relations between Türkiye and Azerbaijan, including facilitating the transfer of bilateral relations into frameworks like the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
