Azerbaijani presidential aide meets UK minister to boost tech, defence ties PHOTO

Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, has held talks with the United Kingdom’s Minister of State for Europe, Northern America and Overseas Territories, Stephen Doughty.

Hajiyev took to X to describe the meeting as “productive” and said it was conducted in a “spirit of strategic partnership.”

"Discussed to deepen and widen our relations to new areas, such as connectivity, artificial intelligence, cyber security, digitization, education as well as defense and military cooperation," Hajiyev wrote.

Hajiyev also added a lighter note, wishing “best of luck to both Qarabağ and Chelsea teams in tonight’s match.”
