Azerbaijani president's assistant calls for severe restrictions on Armenia's military development
Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, has emphasized the necessity of imposing strict restrictions on Armenia’s military construction policy.
Hajiyev underlined that such practices are a part of the international relations system, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
He pointed out that limitations were imposed on the military development of aggressor and occupier countries following major conflicts, citing examples such as the post-World War II restrictions and those imposed on Iraq after the Iraq-Kuwait war.
"We believe that serious restrictions are necessary in Armenia's military construction policy," Hajiyev stated.
Additionally, he underscored the importance of addressing the responsibility of countries supplying offensive weapons to Armenia, urging consideration of their role in this context.
