Azerbaijani prosecutor general calls Armenia's provocative actions “obstacle to peace” in region
Azerbaijani Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev has stated that the provocative actions of Armenia are an obstacle to establishing peace in the region.
He made this remark at a trilateral meeting with Russian Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov and Armenian Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan, according to Report.
According to him, in April of this year, two Azerbaijani servicemen serving in Nakhchivan went missing due to limited visibility in bad weather conditions and were taken hostage by the Armenian military.
Aliyev said that criminal proceedings were carried out against the captured Azerbaijani servicemen based on falsified evidence.
The prosecutor general recalled that continuing their terrorist provocative actions once again, the Armenian Armed Forces used firearms of various calibres against the servicemen of the State Border Service, as a result of which one soldier, ensign Elshan Rustamov, sustained a gunshot wound,
He stressed that “such provocative actions are an obstacle to establishing peace in the region”.
