Azerbaijani pundit says Pashinyan cannot fully control Armenian armed forces on border
Chairman of the Board of the Center for Analysis of International Relations of Azerbaijan Farid Shafiyev has said the Armenian armed forces on the border are not completely subordinate to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
Referring to the provocations committed recently by Armenia on the state border of Azerbaijan, he said that “people from the clan of former presidents Robert Kocharyan and Serzh Sargsyan have been working in these structures for a long time. The same situation was in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia. The current head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not belong to that system, he was brought to this position," Report informs.
"I believe that the Pashinyan government is not interested in creating a conflict, a hotbed of tension in the border zone. I believe that the armed forces on the border are not completely subordinate to him,” Shafiyev noted.
