Azerbaijani, Saudi FMs discuss rising Middle East tensions in phone call
Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, held a phone call with Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, during which they discussed the current security situation in the Middle East, voiced concern over rising regional tensions, and emphasised the need to prevent further escalation.
In this context, they stressed the need to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries in the region and the inadmissibility of strikes against neighbouring states, Caliber.Az reports per the foreign ministry.
During the call, the ministers also discussed other pressing issues on the regional and international agenda, the current state of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia, and prospects for its further development. They also exchanged views on additional matters of mutual interest.
