Azerbaijani Speaker, Kazakh ambassador mull Trans-Caspian project

Chairman of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova and the Kazakh ambassador in Baku discussed the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor, laying a fiber-optic communication line along the bottom of the Caspian Sea, and transporting oil from Kazakhstan through the territory of Azerbaijan.

As Caliber.Az reports, citing the public relations and press department of the Milli Majlis, at a meeting with Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan Alim Bayel, Sahiba Gafarova noted that friendship and fraternal ties between the peoples of the two countries have a long history, bilateral relations are successfully developing on the basis common values, history, religion, language.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan cooperate fruitfully within the framework of international organizations, including the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).

Ambassador Alim Bayel expressed satisfaction with the dynamic development of relations between the countries.

During the meeting, views were also exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
