Azerbaijani Speaker pays official visit to Tajikistan

The parliamentary delegation, headed by Azerbaijani Speaker Sahiba Gafarova, has paid an official visit to Tajikistan.

The delegation consists of the head of the Azerbaijani parliamentary working group for Azerbaijan-Tajikistan inter-parliamentary relations, Aydin Mirzazade, members of this group Azar Badamov and Anatoliy Rafailov, as well as other officials, the Azerbaijani parliament's public relations department told APA on September 11.

The Azerbaijani delegation was welcomed by First Deputy Chairman of the Tajik parliament Rajabbey Ahmadzade, Azerbaijani ambassador to Tajikistan Alimirzamin Askerov, Tajik ambassador to Azerbaijan Rustam Soli and other officials at the Dushanbe International Airport.

During the visit, Gafarova is expected to meet with the chairmen of the upper and lower chambers of the Majlisi Oli (parliament), as well as with other Tajik officials.

The prospects for the development of the Azerbaijan-Tajikistan inter-parliamentary ties, the strengthening of cooperation and other issues will be considered at the meetings.

The official visit will end on September 12, 2022
