Azerbaijani special envoy, UN official mull COP29 PHOTO

Elchin Amirbayov, Representative of the Azerbaijani President for Special Assignments, engaged in discussions regarding the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) with Marcos Neto, UN Assistant Secretary-General, who serves as the UNDP Assistant Administrator and Director of the Bureau for Policy and Programme Support.

Caliber.Az reports, citing the press service of the Azerbaijani office of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

During the meeting, Marcos Neto “reaffirmed UNDP's commitment to assisting Azerbaijan in the successful implementation of COP29”.

Previously, Marcos Neto also met with Hikmat Hajiyev, aide to the President of Azerbaijan and head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration.
