Azerbaijani strike drones showcased at SAHA 2026 in Istanbul PHOTO

Azerbaijan has showcased its domestically produced strike drones at the SAHA-2026 defence exhibition in Istanbul.

According to Report’s correspondent in Türkiye, the unmanned aerial vehicles on display include the Quzghun, Qırghı and Qırghı-S drones developed by the Azerbaijani company RD Smart.

The Quzghun strike drone is designed for reconnaissance and long-range target detection using optical zoom capabilities. Equipped with an intelligent tracking system, the drone can identify and monitor both moving and stationary targets before autonomously diving onto the target following the operator’s command.

The Qırghı-S belongs to the FPV drone category but has been adapted to meet modern battlefield requirements through the integration of an intelligent computer system. Depending on operational needs, the drone can switch between different combat modes, simplifying pilot control and increasing mission effectiveness. It is also fitted with a controllable day-and-night vision camera that expands the field of view.

Speaking at the exhibition, RD Smart representative Bahruz Baghirov said the company had brought three drones to SAHA 2026.

“We will present several of our latest products at ADEX-2026 that have never been showcased before,” he noted.

The sixth Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition, ADEX 2026, and the 15th International Exhibition for Internal Security, Safety and Rescue Equipment, Securex Caspian 2026, are scheduled to take place in Baku from September 30 to October 2, 2026.
