Azerbaijani top brass gets acquainted with products of Italian defence company in Dubai PHOTO

A delegation led by Azerbaijani Defence Minister, Col-Gen Zakir Hasanov got acquainted with the weapons, vehicle and military equipment produced by the Italian company Leonardo, exhibited at the Dubai Airshow 2023 international exhibition in UAE.

At the meeting with the head of the company, the importance of developing military-technical cooperation was emphasized, and a number of issues of common interest were discussed, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry.

Earlier, Azerbaijan and the Leonardo company signed a contract on the purchase of the C-27J Spartan - a tactical transport aircraft.

The agreement is part of the extensive modernisation programme of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, which are increasingly looking to the products of Italian industry.

Deployed in the most challenging geographic, environmental and operating conditions, Leonardo’s C-27J Spartan is an aircraft capable of executing a vast range of defence and civil protection missions.
