Azerbaijani, Turkish diplomats discuss regional issues in Ankara
Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Berris Ekinci met with Azer Musayev, Director of the Regional Security Department of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, in Ankara on February 11.
The meeting was held in Ankara, said the Turkish Foreign Ministry’s press service, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
The discussions covered bilateral and regional issues.
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Türkiye Rashad Mammadov also took part in the meeting.
Prior to this, on February 10, Musayev held political consultations with Mehmet Samsar, Director of the Eastern Europe and Caucasus Department of the Turkish Foreign Ministry. Their talks covered strengthening political ties and expanding cooperation within international organizations. The consultations came at a significant time, just weeks after Türkiye and Azerbaijan celebrated the 33rd anniversary of their diplomatic relations, which officially began on January 14, 1992.
