Azerbaijani, Turkish generals discuss defence cooperation at EFES-2026 drills PHOTO
Azerbaijani Lieutenant General Azer Aliyev has held a meeting with the Commander of the Aegean Army and Garrison, Army General İrfan Özsert, during which the sides discussed the exchange of experience and strengthening defence cooperation.
The meeting was conducted as part of the multinational “EFES–2026” drills taking place in Türkiye, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan.
General Azer Aliyev heads the Azerbaijani delegation.
The generals made it clear that international exercises involving the two countries play an important role in maintaining a high level of combat readiness within their armed forces.
Officials said such activities significantly contribute to improving the professional knowledge and practical skills of military personnel.
The two sides additionally exchanged views on joint initiatives in the military and military-technical spheres, as well as other matters of shared interest.
