Azerbaijani, Turkish, Georgian officers gather in Baku for digital training PHOTO

Computer-assisted international command-staff training Eternity-2023 has been held with the participation of servicemen of Azerbaijan, Türkiye and Georgia, as well as representatives of relevant government agencies in Baku.

The servicemen have carried out tasks to organise the protection of strategically important regional economic projects at the exercises held at the Military Games Centre of the Institute of Military Administration of Azerbaijan’s National Defence University, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry.

The training's key target is to strengthen mutual cooperation and ensure interaction between the armed forces of the three countries.

Azerbaijan, Georgia and Türkiye share many common interests in the trilateral partnership such as the protection of the transport/energy infrastructure, increasing of professionalism of armed forces and provision of more stability and predictability in the region. The latter is crucial for paving the way for the inflow of foreign investment, particularly in terms of expected mass investment in trans-regional transportation projects. Armed separatism and rising terrorist threats in the proximity of the South Caucasus make it necessary to pool the capabilities of these countries in order to confront potential threats against their security and sovereignty.
