Azerbaijani-Turkish naval special forces hold joint drills in Marmaris PHOTO/VIDEO
Under the plan for 2022, joint exercises of the underwater attack and defence units of the Azerbaijani Navy's special purpose battalions and the Turkish Navy's special purpose unit are being held in the Turkish city of Marmaris.
At the exercises held at the Aksaz naval base, the servicemen of both fraternal countries will practice land and sea tactics, searching for and destroying unexploded ordnance and sea mines, Caliber.Az reports quoting the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry website.
According to the plan, the participants of the exercises will carry out tactical firing individually and in groups in day and night conditions, joint marches, ambushes and raids in the form of mixed groups, as well as long-distance diving tasks at sea using special closed underwater breathing apparatus.
The exercises will last until October 14.
