FM Bayramov: Azerbaijan committed to stability, security, peace in region
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has stated that Azerbaijan remains committed to stability, security, and peace in the region during a meeting with a delegation led by Arab Parliament President Mohamed Ahmed Alyammahi on February 11.
The meeting addressed Azerbaijan’s relations with Arab countries and the Arab League, regional developments in the Middle East and South Caucasus, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Foreign Ministry.
Bayramov stated that strengthening ties with Muslim countries, including Arab states, remains a key priority of Baku’s foreign policy.
He emphasised Azerbaijan’s consistent efforts to ensure stability, security, and peace in the region, highlighting the importance of measures to prevent conflicts and wars.
FM expressed solidarity regarding the situation in the Gaza Strip and reaffirmed Azerbaijan’s support for a solution based on the two-state principle, in line with international law and UN Security Council resolutions.
The minister also briefed the delegation on the peace process with Armenia and ongoing post-conflict reconstruction in territories liberated from occupation, showcasing Azerbaijan’s commitment to recovery and regional cooperation.
