When exactly US Vice President Vance visiting Azerbaijan?
U.S. Vice President James David Vance will visit Azerbaijan on February 10–11, following a stop in Armenia on February 9–10, his press secretary, as Report said, confirmed to Radio Liberty.
During his visit to Azerbaijan, Vance will be accompanied by U.S. Deputy Secretary of State for Economic Affairs Jacob Helberg.
The visits to Armenia and Azerbaijan aim to advance the U.S. administration’s peace efforts and support the “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity” (TRIPP) initiative.
On August 8, 2025, U.S. President Donald Trump hosted Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at the White House for a historic summit. The leaders initialled a draft peace agreement, signed a joint declaration committing to normalisation, and mutually recognised territorial integrity.
A key element was the establishment of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP)—a U.S.-developed transit corridor through Armenia's southern territory linking mainland Azerbaijan to its Nakhchivan exclave, promoting regional connectivity.
The 43 km long route includes rail, road, gas and oil pipelines, power lines, and fibre-optic cables.
