Second round of Azerbaijan-Hungary consular talks focuses on innovation
Baku hosted the second round of consular consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and Hungary, aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and advancing the digitalization of consular services.
The Azerbaijani delegation was led by Emil Safarov, Head of the Consular Department of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while the Hungarian delegation was led by Balázs Farkas, Head of the Department of Consular Affairs and Citizenship of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan.
The meeting also saw the participation of Tamás Torma, Ambassador of Hungary to Azerbaijan, alongside representatives from Azerbaijan’s General Prosecutor’s Office, the State Employment Service under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the Ministry of Science and Education, and the State Migration Service.
The consultations addressed the current status and future prospects of consular cooperation with Hungary, a strategically important partner for Azerbaijan. Discussions included potential new bilateral agreements and initiatives to modernize and digitalize consular services.
Both sides exchanged information on recent innovations in the consular sphere and explored ways to enhance collaboration in legal assistance, education, migration, labor, and other related areas, reflecting a shared commitment to expanding and deepening bilateral ties.
