Azerbaijani, Turkish special forces showcase high professionalism in joint military drills PHOTO
The Azerbaijani Defence Ministry has announced that "SAT-SAS-2024" joint exercises are underway at the Aksaz Naval Base in the Turkish city of Marmaris.
The Azerbaijani and Turkish Air Force units, specialising in underwater assault and defence, are involved in the exercises, the ministry told Caliber.Az.
According to the plan, on the following day of the exercises, special forces units carried out tasks related to organising a circular defense and protecting a helicopter landing behind the enemy's lines onshore.
During the drills, the servicemen demonstrated high professionalism in executing the assigned tasks.
As part of the 2024 training schedule, Azerbaijani and Turkish naval forces were conducting joint maritime exercises — SAT-SAS-2024 — focused on honing skills in ship seizure and combat operations at Aksaz Naval Base in Marmaris.
The elite naval special forces displayed exceptional precision and expertise in executing simulated ship seizures, demonstrating their advanced capabilities. This joint operation highlights the strength of cooperation between the two nations, further strengthening their strategic ties.
