Azerbaijani UN envoy talks regional growth and cooperation with US, Türkiye, and Georgia
Azerbaijan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Tofig Musayev, recently participated in and delivered a keynote speech at the event titled “Cooperation between Türkiye, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and the United States in the Field of Business.”
The event, announced by the Azerbaijani permanent mission on social media platform X, took place at the Turkish House in New York City and focused on fostering stronger economic ties and collaboration between these four nations, per Caliber.Az.
The event was organized by the Turkish-American Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TACCI) in collaboration with the American-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce and the Consulate General of Georgia in New York. The gathering attracted key figures from the diplomatic, business, and academic communities, highlighting the growing importance of multinational partnerships in today’s global economy.
During his speech, Musayev underscored the significant role of regional energy and transportation projects in strengthening economic ties between Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Georgia. He highlighted the success of the trilateral cooperation between the three countries, which has been pivotal in developing infrastructure and enhancing connectivity in the region. Musayev also pointed out that these initiatives not only contribute to economic growth but also play a critical role in ensuring regional stability and security.
Furthermore, Musayev emphasised the vast investment opportunities available in Azerbaijan and the wider region, particularly in sectors such as energy, infrastructure, and technology. He stressed how these investments are vital in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in fostering economic development, innovation, and environmental sustainability.
