Azerbaijani, Uzbek air force chiefs discuss expanding cooperation PHOTO
Azerbaijan’s Deputy Defence Minister, Air Force Commander, Lieutenant-General Ramiz Tahirov, met with a delegation led by Uzbekistan’s Deputy Defence Minister, Air Defence and Air Force Commander, Major-General Akhmad Burkhanov, on November 30.
The Uzbek delegation is currently on a visit to Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry’s press service.
Welcoming the guests, Tahirov expressed satisfaction to see them in Azerbaijan and stressed the importance of developing cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan in military aviation and air defence, as well as in other areas.
Expressing gratitude for the hospitality, Burkhanov emphasized that positive relations between the states will contribute to the development of the Air Forces of both countries.
The ministers also discussed the prospects for the development of cooperation between the Air Forces of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, as well as on issues of mutual interest.
