Azerbaijani, Uzbek ruling parties forge strategic partnership
The ruling New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) and the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan have signed a landmark cooperation agreement.
The document was signed by Tahir Budagov, NAP deputy chairman and head of the Central Office, and Aktam Khaitov, chairman of the Executive Committee of the Political Council of the Movement of Entrepreneurs and Business People - Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, who is currently visiting Azerbaijan, Report says.
This memorandum aims to realize the declaration on deepening strategic partnership and increasing comprehensive cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
"The signing of this memorandum launches a new process of cooperation between the two structures," stated Aktam Khaitov. "Now within the framework of the memorandum, we will be able to cooperate and hold inter-party discussions on the exchange of experience and organizational issues, exchange delegations, and develop inter-party ties," he added.
