Azerbaijan's postal operator Azerpost LLC, in collaboration with Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, conducted robot testing at the country’s postal logistics center.
The cooperation, which began in 2023 on the initiative of Azərpoçt, Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, and the Japanese Embassy, continues to progress successfully, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerpost.
The main goal of the partnership is to introduce the best postal practices successfully implemented in Japan into Azerpost’s operations.
As part of the collaboration, a meeting took place between the management of Azərpoçt and representatives from Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, where issues regarding the automation of postal processes and the implementation of digital solutions to accelerate mail processing were discussed.
Following the talks, the Japanese delegation visited the postal logistics center, where Toshiba robots brought to Azerbaijan were tested. These technologies will help minimize human labor, speed up parcel sorting, and improve service quality.
Additionally, the implementation of automated solutions will significantly accelerate postal operations, positively impacting customer satisfaction.
