Baku, Abu Dhabi explore sister city partnership

The capitals of Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates — Baku and Abu Dhabi — are exploring the possibility of establishing a sister city relationship.

The matter was discussed during a bilateral meeting between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

During the talks, which covered a range of diplomatic and economic issues, the potential for formalizing sister city ties between Baku and Abu Dhabi was specifically addressed. Such a partnership could pave the way for enhanced cultural, economic, and municipal cooperation between the two capitals.
