Baku, Bratislava explore cybersecurity cooperation
Azerbaijan and Slovakia have discussed opportunities for cooperation in the field of cybersecurity, particularly in areas related to critical infrastructure, including transport, energy and digital services.
A meeting was held at Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Digital Development and Transport with a Slovak delegation led by Tibor Straka, President of the Critical Infrastructure Association of the Slovak Republic, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
During the talks, both sides exchanged views on ongoing projects and key areas of activity in cybersecurity. Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport, Sameddin Asadov, briefed the delegation on Azerbaijan’s efforts to strengthen information and cybersecurity.
He noted that a number of systemic measures have been implemented under the Azerbaijan Republic’s Information Security and Cybersecurity Strategy for 2023–2027, approved in 2023, and that work in this direction is progressing steadily.
The discussions also covered prospects for cooperation in the transport and telecommunications sectors, as well as potential partnerships between public and private institutions and the implementation of joint initiatives.
Both sides also exchanged views on the future development of bilateral cooperation.
