Baku checks presence of Azerbaijanis among Turkish quake victims
At least 76 people were killed and 440 injured last night due to a magnitude 7.4 earthquake in southeastern Türkiye.
As the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry reported on February 6 in response to Trend's request, it is being found out whether Azerbaijanis were among the dead or injured as a result of the earthquake in Türkiye.
An earthquake of magnitude 7.4 occurred on February 6 in various parts of Türkiye. At the moment, the death toll as a result of the earthquake has exceeded 76 people. Some 440 people were injured.
Türkiye’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) said the 7.4 magnitude quake struck at 4.17 a.m. (0117GMT) and was centred in the Pazarcik district in Türkiye’s southern province of Kahramanmaras. Tremors were felt for half an hour in different regions - Adana, Ankara, Antalya, Gaziantep, Kayseri, Mersin, Trabzon, and Sanliurfa.
