Baku hosts int'l conference: "Caucasian Albania: Religious and Social Life"
The 10th International Conference "Caucasian Albania: Religious and Social Life" has kicked off in Azerbaijan’s capital Baku.
The organisers of the event are the Baku International Multiculturalism Centre, the Institute of History named after A.A. Bakikhanov, Report informs.
Chairman of the Azerbaijani State Committee for Work with Religious Structures Mubariz Gurbanli, Baku International Multiculturalism Centre Executive Director Ravan Hasanov, Institute of History Director Karim Shukurov and other public members attended the conference.
The event aims to organise effective scientific discussions involving prominent people studying Albanology.
The discussions on “Historical Geography: Population and Social Life”, “Caucasian Albania in the Pre-Christian and Christian Era”, “Caucasian Albania: Geographical Parallels, Economic and Cultural Life”, and “Caucasian Albania: Temples and Monuments” will be held as part of the conference.
Researchers from Türkiye, South Korea, Russia, Italy, Germany, Georgia, the UK, Norway, and Lithuania will deliver reports on various aspects of Albania’s history at the conference.
Azerbaijan plays a major role in studying the historical and ethnocultural heritage of Caucasian Albania.
