Baku Initiative Group: Azerbaijan fighting against colonialism, neo-colonialism
Executive director of the Baku Initiative Group (BIG) Abbas Abbasov has said that the French government, concerned about the establishment of the BIG, increased pressure on its colonies, but international cooperation expanded.
Abbasov made these remarks at the conference entitled “History, modern challenges and expected future” in the Azerbaijani parliament, Report informs.
He stressed that BIG will continue supporting the countries suffering from colonial policy.
“Azerbaijan is fighting against colonialism and neo-colonialism. The establishment of the BIG is an important step in supporting the just struggle of the colonies. BIG has held seven international conferences within seven months since the establishment,” Abbasov added.
A conference on “History, modern challenges and expected future” is being held in the Azerbaijani parliament.
Chairman of the Azerbaijani parliamentary Human Rights Committee Zahid Oruj, Chair of the New Caledonian Congress Committee on Infrastructure, Spatial Planning, Sustainable Development, Energy, Transport and Communications Naisseline Omayra and Azerbaijani MPs are taking part in the conference.
