Baku Initiative Group flags rising global threat of neocolonialism

Today, neocolonialism is generating significant challenges worldwide, Executive Director of the Baku Initiative Group (BIG), Abbas Abbasov, told Report in a comment on the sidelines of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13).

He said that through organised events and prepared reports, BIG aims to provide international organisations with information on the wide-ranging and destructive impacts of neocolonialism across different sectors, which in turn contribute to deepening crises.

Abbas Abbasov also stressed that within the forum, it is particularly important to highlight to the global community the issues of modern urbanisation that are directly driven by colonial policies.
