Peoples living under French colonial rule will address the world community at an international conference themed "Decolonization: Awakening of Renaissance" to be organised by the Baku Initiative Group in Istanbul.
The conference is to bring together 50 delegates from 13 countries and 4 international organizations. Representatives of independence movements of French colonies from New Caledonia, French Polynesia, French Guiana, Martinique and Guadeloupe will present to the world the facts about the consequences of French colonial policy, says a report by Haber Global, Report informs.
The event participants noted in an interview with the TV channel that their nations have been living under French colonial rule for more than 200 years and the struggle in this regard has not yielded any results so far.
They emphasized that Baku Initiative Group is very important in terms of bringing their voice to the world community.
The report notes that the Baku Initiative Group supports the struggle for independence of those living under colonial policies.
The Baku Initiative Group was established on July 6, 2023 in Baku by the participants of the conference "Total Elimination of Colonialism" on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting of the Coordinating Bureau of the Non-Aligned Movement under the chairmanship of Azerbaijan.
The Baku Initiative Group supports the struggle for freedom of peoples of different regions across the world still suffering from colonization in the 21st century.
Until today the Baku Initiative Group has organised six international conferences on the issue of decolonization.
