Baku, Islamabad discuss joint energy ventures to boost oil, gas, renewables
Azerbaijan and Pakistan have held talks in Baku to further develop bilateral relations across various aspects of the energy sector.
Azerbaijan's Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov shared the news in a post on X page, detailing the discussions, Caliber.Az reports.
“We had a productive meeting with Abdul Aleem Khan, the Federal Minister for Privatization, Board of Investment, and Communications of Pakistan to discuss the development of bilateral relations in various areas of the energy sector. We reviewed the issues on the agenda, including opportunities for cooperation in oil and gas, Renewable Energy, and Energy Efficiency,” he said.
Meanwhile, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif recently met with Azerbaijan's Defence Industry Minister Vugar Mustafayev, who co-chairs the Azerbaijan-Pakistan Intergovernmental Joint Commission.
Mustafayev's visit to Pakistan aimed to attend the eighth meeting of the Commission. Both leaders expressed satisfaction with the growing bilateral ties, emphasizing the strategic partnership and cooperation between the two nations.
Mustafayev highlighted the positive impact of their leaders’ policies in strengthening ties, while Sharif reciprocated with greetings for Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
The discussions focused on expanding multifaceted cooperation and addressing mutual interests to further enhance prosperity and progress for both countries.
